Our services include:

  • health and development checks which are set out in your child’s Personal Health Record book
  • breastfeeding, bottle feeding and introducing food advice
  • hearing tests
  • safe sleeping information and support
  • immunisation clinics
  • help on becoming a parent
  • free parenting groups and programs for parents and carers to learn new skills.

You and your child will be cared for by child health nurses, psychologists and social workers.

Parenting programs and groups

Join free parenting programs and groups.

New Parents Program

This is a 4 week group program for parents of babies up to 4 months. You'll learn more about your baby’s development including how to build a positive relationship, feeding, sleeping and safety.

Circle of Security Group

This program will help you learn about your child’s emotional and behaviour needs. You'll learn how to build a positive relationship with your child and help them manage their feelings and increase their self esteem.

Positive Parenting Program (Triple P)

This program has seminars, group workshops and individual consultations if you have children up the age of 16. It'll help you develop positive relationships, set family routines and rules that work.

Managing problem behaviour and balancing work and family with less stress will create a happier and safer environment for your family. Read more about positive parenting.

Who can access this service?

All families with children aged from 0 to 18.
