The Cairns and Yarrabah local government area three-day lock down was held from Sunday 8 August to 4pm Wednesday 11 August 2021 in response to two community cases of COVID-19 in Cairns.

From 4pm Wednesday 11 August, Cairns and Yarrabah local government areas came out of lockdown and further restrictions (eg. mask wearing, community supports) eased on 4pm Friday 20 August.

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Breathing difficulties
  • Sore throat
  • Loss of smell or taste
  • Runny nose
  • Diarrhoea
