>> Clive Skarott AM, Board Chair, Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service:

Our hospital and health service has engaged with public, private, and non-government organisations to enable us to set clear directions, outcomes, and key strategies to drive our health service forward.

>> Robin Whyte, Chief Executive Officer, Northern Queensland Primary Health Network:

The Northern Queensland Primary Health Network shares common priorities with Cairns and Hinterland HHS with regard to future health service planning.

We're committed to working together to ensure coordinated care and access to health services are a top priority.

The PHN has been actively involved in the identification of health priorities in our region, and they include First Nations maternal and child health, mental health and addiction services, access to GPs and primary health services, as well as the cultural safety of our First Nations peoples.

We're also looking at how we encourage innovation to meet the many complex health needs of this region in Northern Queensland.

Through our continued collaboration, we will meet the broader health needs of our community.

>> Gina Hogan, Chief Executive Officer, Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation:

Since inception, the Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation has contributed over 26 million to improving healthcare in the region.

Over the next five years, we will continue to work together with our community and health services to advance care in Far North Queensland. We do this through funding of modern equipment, facilities, education, training and research, and through the provision of support services.

On the horizon, we have projects like the Cancer Care Hub, a $3.4 million partnership with the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service that will take cancer care in the region to the next level.

>> Teresa Simpson, Chief Executive Officer, Mookai Rosie Bi-Bayan Aboriginal Corporation:

At Mookai Rosie Bi-Bayan, we are proud to work in partnership with the Cairns Hospital to ensure that we provide a caring and happy environment for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and children.

We are pleased to be a part of the journey with the Health Service, to continue to improve health equity and access to culturally appropriate healthcare.

>> Professor Marcus Lane, Acting Vice Chancellor, James Cook University:

We need to deliver first-class education, engage in cutting edge research, and build the health workforce that will meet the needs of our community.

JCU is a key partner with Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service to help achieve its vision of excellence in healthcare, education and research. It will be a team effort to translate research into such things as tropical medicine, infectious diseases, and first peoples health, to improve outcomes for people of the region and more widely.

JCU looks forward to assisting Cairns Hospital achieve its vision of becoming a university hospital.

>> Hala Kattab, Trinity Community Consultation Committee Member:

Throughout the consultation process we heard of the struggles people experienced daily, and the need for better access to care, particularly primary healthcare.

We need to focus on treating our patients as individuals, understanding their needs and diverse backgrounds to help them better access the care they need. Improving care coordination between services, will be key to improving access to healthcare, including primary healthcare.

I'm confident by working together, we can offer safe and people-centred care.

>> Nancy Long, Board Member, Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service:

We have made an enormous effort consulting and engaging with our local communities, aboriginal community-controlled health organisations, public and private organisations, to develop a clear vision and to inform future services that will create improved health outcomes for our community.

We are committed to providing opportunities for first people to build careers within our health service space. I encourage all health providers in our region to actively commit to the greater goal of better health outcomes for our community.

>> Clive Skarott AM, Board Chair, Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service:

We will strengthen our partnerships and work together to deliver excellence in health services for the people of Far North Queensland.
